The power pack is permanently installed in
the operating arm.

cording to the instructions in the supplementary
documentation.

Risk of injuries.
ÂWhen using the tool, incorrectly fitted
parts can lead to severe injuries up to
and including death.
ÂThis tool can only be operated, if all parts
are fully fitted and tightened and there
are no damaged parts!
¾ Therefore first read the entire chapter,
before fitting the parts.
¾ Fit the parts carefully and completely.
¾ Use tools as specified.
Risk of injuries.
¾ Parts may only be fitted and removed
when the motor is switched off and the
operating arm, in which the permanently
installed power pack is located, is
removed.
Sharp cutting chain. Tool still running!
¾ Before any work on the device, first
remove the operating arm with the
permanently installed power pack.
¾ Wear safety gloves before any work on
the chain.
Risk of injuries.
ÂAn incorrectly fitted cutting chain will
result in erratic cutting behaviour of the
tool.
¾ Fit the chain so that it rotates in the
indicated direction of rotation.

Loosen the locking screw A 1 and remove the

cover A 2 .

Position the bar with the longitudinal hole on the

threaded bar A 3 .
Note
Ensure that the chain tensioning plate points
forwards C [1].
Note
Check for correct seating of the guide screw
on the rear side of the bar in the guiding
groove B [1].
Push the bar as chose as possible to the sprocket.

Place the chain around the bar and drive
Î
sprocket A 4 .
Note
Ensure the chain moves in the correct
direction B [2] .
Check the position of the bar and chain on the tool
Î

Position the cover D 1 and tighten it with the
Î
locking screw D 2 .
Tension the chain E F
Note
The cutting chain must not sag, but it should
be possible to pull it away from the cutting
bar by about 3 millimetres F.
Screw the locking screw E [1] out far enough to
Î
allow rotation of the adjusting wheel E [2].
Turn the adjusting wheel E [2] clockwise to ten-
Î
sion the chain or anticlockwise to slacken it E 2.
Manually rotate the chain to check for fault-free
Î
running.
Tighten the locking screw again E 3 .

Note
During running in of a new chain, it should
be re-tensioned after no more than five cuts.

Check with your local authorities to determine if
there are any operating time limitations.
Cutting chain oil
Risk of damage to the tool
Use of old oil can result in damage to the
oil pump, bar and chain!
¾ Never use old oil to lubricate the chain.
Environmental pollution
¾ Chain oil is released into the
environment during operation, therefore,
special biodegradable vegetable oil
should be used as a chain oil.
