SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
• Do not lean over the tool. Always maintain a safe stand and balance. Never reach into or over
the running machine.
• Maintain the tools with care. Check the tool cable and hoses at regular intervals and when
damaged, keep them permanently clean, dry and fee from oil and grease.
• Remove all adjusting keys. Before operation, check that adjusting keys have been removed
from the tool or machine work surface.
• Prevent unintentional start-up of the tool. When not in use and before connecting hoses, the air
pressure supply must be in the off position.
• Remain attentive. Observe your operating steps, handle cautiously. Do not operate any tool
when overtired.
• Check the parts for damage. Before using a tool, carefully inspect every part that appears to be
damaged in order to determine if it functions correctly and fulfils its purpose. Check alignment
and connection of moving parts, whether any parts or mounting devices are broken as well as
any other circumstances that may impair correct operation. Every damaged part should be
repaired professionally or replaced by a qualified employee. Do not operate the device if any
control or a switch is not functioning correctly.
• Spare parts and accessories. Only identical spare parts may be replaced during maintenance.
Use of other parts will render the warranty invalid. Use only accessories that are intended for
use with this device.
• Do not operate the device under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you are taking prescribed
medicine, read the package leaflet to see if judgement or reflexes are affected by taking it. In
case of doubt, do not operate the tool.
• Maintenance. For safety reasons, maintenance and servicing should be carried out by a
qualified employee at regular intervals.
• Safety warning for pacemakers. Persons wearing a pacemaker should seek medical advice
before using this product. Electromagnetic fields in the immediate vicinity of a pacemaker may
cause the pacemaker to malfunction or fail. Persons wearing a pacemaker should also observe
the following: take care in the vicinity of the coil, spark plug wires or distributor of a running
engine. The engine should always be switched off when making adjustments to the distributor.
• Note: if there are fluctuations in air pressure and compressor output, the performance of this tool
may become unstable.
PRODUCT-SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Attention: this device has been designed for being operated by qualified and trained personnel. It may
only be operated after acknowledgement of the safety instructions and operating procedures in
accordance with this operating manual.
• Do not smoke in the vicinity of this device.
• Work in a well ventilated area.
• If there is a leak on the devices or hoses, switch them off at the mains switch immediately and
rectify the defect.
• Collect spilt or leaked fluids immediately.
• Keep an empty plastic bucket in the vicinity in case a leak should occur.
• In case of fire, keep a fire extinguisher type ABC in the vicinity.
• In event of contact with oil and solvents, always protect your skin and eyes.
