CAUTION
• The instrument can be supplied by means of 6x1.2V NiMH rechargeable
batteries type AA LR06 provided with the instrument, or by means of 6x1.5V
alkaline batteries type AA LR06. Rechargeable batteries must be recharged
by connecting the instrument to the external power supply A0061, also
provided with the instrument.
• If you want to use the power supply, first connect it to the instrument, then
to the electric mains, and then connect the instrument to the circuit to be
measured.
• While recording, we recommend using bot the power supply and the
rechargeable batteries, so that supply is always guaranteed, even in case of
power lacks from the mains.
• In case of low battery, stop testing and recharge or replace the batteries (see
§ 4.2). The instrument keeping data stored even without batteries. In order
to maximize the instrument's battery life, approximately 5 minutes after the
last time a key was pressed, the instrument will automatically switch off
("AUTOPOWER OFF" function – not active while recording).

Press the ON/OFF key to switch on the instrument. The following initial screen
is displayed:
It contains (further to the name of the Manufacturer and to the instrument
model):
• The serial number (SN:) of the instrument
• The Firmware version of the two instrument's internal microprocessors
(LCD and CPU)
• The date of the last calibration (Calibration date)
Then the instrument shows the general MENU screen:
To select the desired function, just touch the relevant icon on the screen.
Select icon
section, you can:
• Set the system language
• Disable/enable key tone and auto power off
• Set date and time
