4.7 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Danger from electric shock
Disconnect the power chord from the socket before cleaning the base (11).
Do not immerse the base in water or other liquids.
Danger of burns
Wait until the jug (6) has cooled down completely before cleaning it.
Damage warning
Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents or scratching objects
(e.g. metal sponges) for cleaning.
Note
The milk frother and accessories must not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Easy cleaning:
1. Leave the whisk (5) in place.
2. Fill the jug (7) with water, observing the MIN and MAX marks, and put on the lid (2).
3. Now let the milk frother run for about 30 seconds.
4. Then rinse the jug (7) with plenty of clean water and rinse the lid (2) under running
water.
Thorough cleaning:
1. Unplug the power chord (12) from the socket.
2. Remove the whisk (4 or 5).
3. Clean the inside of the jug (7) with warm water and a little washing up liquid.
Use a sponge or a soft cloth. Take special care to remove any milk residue on
and around the whisk drive shaft. Rinse the jug (7) with sufficient water.
4. Pull the lid seal (3) off the lid (2) and clean both parts in mild rinsing water.
Rinse with clean water, dry both parts thoroughly and slide the lid seal (3) back
onto the lid (2).
5. Clean the whisk (4 or 5) in mild rinsing water and rinse it with clear water.
6. Then rinse the jug (7) with plenty of clean water and rinse the lid (2) under running
water. Clean the outer surfaces, the base (11) and the mains cable (12) with a soft,
slightly damp cloth or, in the case of stubborn dirt, with a little mild washing-up
liquid. Then dry all parts thoroughly.
