6.2.3 Sludge trap maintenance
1. Measuring the height of the sludge level.
When the sludge height reaches 200 mm, the sludge must be removed. The maximum
o
sludge height can be determined by measuring the height from the sludge level to the top
edge of the red filter housing. See drawing and table 1.

Utensils required: Dipstick, level metering plate (max. diameter 80 mm), tape measure.
1. The level metering plate is to be attached to the dipstick. Then lower the dipstick with the
measuring tape into the sludge trap until the plate rests on the sludge surface.
2. Measure the height from the sludge level to the upper edge of the red housing.
3. The sludge must be removed at the latest on measuring the value specified in Table 1.
4. Record the measurement results and other activities in the logbook
