5 Operation
5.1 Adjustments
•
By adjusting the opening width/range (NW) the device (RK) can lift different sizes of gripping goods
(manhole rings and concrete pipes).
•
The lifting equipment has to be adjusted (attuned) to the carrying capacity/working load limit (WLL) of
the device
Adjust the corresponding gripping range for the opening width (NW) before lifting the gripping goods.
5.1.1 Adjustment of the gripping range
•
Remove the cotter pin out of the pipe of the gripping range adjustment.
•
Move the pipe until the opening width (NW) is set, for the gripping good which shall be gripped.
•
Insert the cotter pin into the pipe again, if necessary, move the pipe slightly and be sure that the perch plug engages in
one of the holes.
•
To ease the positioning of the two claws of the device (RK) the centring fork can be used.
Distance „x" between the fix side of the gripping claw und manhole ring should not be greater than
approx. 25 mm (0,98"). Is the distance larger, the hole on the right must be used.
