2 Safety
Please read the instructions carefully, especially the chapter
on "Safety", before using the Sahira anti-static. This will pro-
tect you from possible dangers and the appliance from dam-
age due to incorrect use.
Keep these instructions for reference. If you pass on the ap-
pliance, please be sure to pass on the instructions with it.
Explanation of warnings
You will find the following warnings in these instructions:
DANGER: High risk. Failure to observe the warning
can cause serious injury.
CAUTION: Medium risk. Failure to observe the warning may
cause damage to property.
NOTE: Low risk. Points that you should observe when using or
handling the appliance.
Intended use
• The Sahira anti-static must be used only for drying hair.
• The appliance is designed for indoor use only. Do not use
outdoors (garden, patio etc.).
• The appliance was developed for professional use by hair-
dressers. Provided the safety information is observed, it
can also be used in the home.
Warning against improper use
Do not use the hair dryer to dry any other part of the body, or
animals or objects.
Important information about dangers
DANGER:
Danger of electric shock!
• Never put the hair dryer down in such a way
that it could fall into water while connected to
the mains.
• Do not use this appliance near bath tubs, showers, wash
basins or other containers filled with water.
• Keep the appliance and its cord away from moisture, water
and other liquids, and do not operate it with wet hands.
• Do not immerse the appliance, mains plug or cord in water
or rinse them off under running water.
• If the appliance falls into water, pull out the mains plug
before taking it out of the water. The appliance may not be
used after such an occurence.
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after
use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even
when the appliance is switched off.
• Additional protection is afforded by installing a residual
current device with a rated tripping current of less than
30 mA in your home electrical system. We recommend you
get an electrician to install a residual current protection sys-
tem to protect the circuits.
DANGER:
Danger of fire!
• Never leave the appliance unattended while
switched on. There is a risk of fire.
• Make sure that the air inlet and outlet openings are always
unobstructed.
