Biotherm II
1. Introduction:
Thank you for purchasing the Biotherm II digital temperature controller. The Biotherm II is a reliable digital temperature controller for terraria. The innovative measuring and con-
trol device allows temperature and cooling to be controlled separately. Temperature control is possible in steps of 0.1° C. The time control switches at one-second intervals. It is configurable
for visual and audible alarm. The display shows all set and actual values, is illuminated and has an LED activity indicator. The waterproof temperature sensor is equipped with a Quick -
Connect - connector and thus ensures easy installation of the sensor. A regulator unit with two slots for the operation of a heater and a cooler is also included and has two high-performance
relays. It is fitted with a smart chip which guarantees stable temperature control. The Biotherm II is suitable for versatile applications where constant temperature control is required. It is
used in terraria, aquaria, paludaria as well as in greenhouses or aviaries. Read the user manual carefully and follow the instructions before using this product. These operating instructions
are a component part of the product. It contains important information on commissioning, safety and operation! Keep this operating manual for future reference!

WARNING: Basic safety precautions should be observed when handling this equipment to prevent injury, including the following advice:
Read and follow all safety instructions before and during the use of the device. Observe all important operating instructions and information when using the device.
Otherwise the product may be damaged or injuries occur.
DANGER: Special care should be taken to avoid possible electric shock when water is used in the operation of this appliance You should not attempt to repair the unit yourself, but return it
to an authorised service centre for repair or dispose of the unit. Do not use a device with a damaged power cable or if it does not work properly, has been dropped or otherwise damaged.
Drip loop: Make a so-called 'drip loop' (see illustration
This should be in the direction of the socket with each power cable. The ‚'drip loop' is the part of the power cord that is below the power outlet or connection
when an extension cord is used. This prevents water from running along the cable and coming into contact with the socket. Should the plug or plug socket get
wet, do NOT pull the plug. Switch off the fuse or circuit breaker for the device. Only then should you pull out the power cable and check the plug socket for
water.
Prevent injuries: Do not touch moving or hot parts to prevent personal injury.
Caution: Always separate the device from the power supply before you handle it, insert or remove parts or before devices are installed or maintained. Never pull
the power cable to pull the adapter out of the socket. Always hold and pull the plug connector. Always disconnect devices that are not in use from the power supply.
Never pick up the unit by the power cable.
Operating limitations: The device is not suitable for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or by persons with little experience in handling
technical devices, unless these persons receive appropriate operating instructions before using the device or they are under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety. Children
should always be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
Intended use: Use this device only for its intended purpose. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the device manufacturer may lead to unsafe operating conditions.
Installation: Do not install or store the device where it is exposed to temperatures below freezing. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight. Regularly check the device. Do not leave the
device unattended for a long period of time. Should an extension cable be required, ensure that the connection is water and dust proof. Only use a cable with a suitable power output. An

for household use only and not for commercial purposes.
