Safety Warnings for
Air Compressors
Before Using the Compressor
CAUTION
• The pressurestat produce sparks while
operating. If sparks have contact with gasoline or other
solvents, vapors could ignite causing fire or explosion.
Always operate the compressor in an adequately ventilated
area. Do not operate in closed areas. Do not smoke while
spraying. Do not spray in flammable environments. Keep
the compressor as far away as possible from the area of
aspersion.
• Solvents like trichloroethane and
CAUTION
methylene chloride may have a chemical reaction with
aluminum used in spray and paint guns, paint pumps, etc.,
and may cause an explosion. If using those solvents, use
only stainless steel spraying equipment. It will not affect
the air compressor but may affect the equipment being
used.
DANGER
• For no reason at all carry out welding
jobs in the compressor air tank. It creates an extremely
dangerous condition. The warranty will be cancelled if
welding is carried out in the compressor tank.
DANGER
• Never use the compressor outdoors
when raining or on wet surfaces. Electrocution may
happen.
CAUTION
• Check the maximum pressure the
manufacturer specifies for pneumatic tools and
accessories. The compressor outlet pressure shall be
regulated so that it will never exceeds the maximum
pressure specified.
• Keep labels and nameplates set in the equipment. It
contains important safety information. In the event the
labels or nameplate are unreadable or missing, contact a
Authorized Service Center to get
spare labels or nameplates.
• For any reason, do not modify the
CAUTION
pressurestat or the pressure release valve. It will make the
Warranty void. Those devices where adjusted in the factory
to the maximum pressure for this unit.
• Double check and read all the labels in
CAUTION
paint or toxic materials being sprayed. Follow the safety
instructions. Wear a breathing mask if there is the
possibility of inhaling the material spayed. Read the
breathing mask instructions to make sure it delivers the
adequate protection.
• Always wear safety lenses when
CAUTION
using an air compressor.
• To allow the adequate cooling ventilation, the
compressor shall be at 12" minimum distance from the
nearest wall in an adequately ventilated area.
• Environment temperature recommended to operate the
compressor is 32 °F to 95 °C
While operating the compressor
CAUTION
• Do not aim nozzles, sprinklers or air jet
towards people or animals.
WARNING
• Never inhale compressed air directly
produced by the air compressor. It is not adequate as
breathing air.
WARNING
• Do not adjust the gauge above the
maximum pressure marked in the accessory. Otherwise,
the compressor may burst.
• The compressor shall be sitting in a leveled surface when
operating.
• Keep the compressor well ventilated. Do not cover it
during the use.
• The compressor gets hot while
CAUTION
operating. Do not touch it or allow children be near during
and immediately after being used. Do not use without the
motor covering. Work away from flammable objects or
liquids.
• The air hose components may get hot while in use. Let
the hoses cool down before disconnecting.
• Do not use the hose to move the compressor.
• Never leave the compressor connected to the power
source when unattended for long periods of time.
Disconnect the tool after working with it.
• Using accessories other than those recommended by
may cause personal injuries.
• Under the cover, high temperatures are produced and
there are moving parts. To prevent burns or other type of
injuries, do not operate without the cover in place. Allow
the compressor parts to cool down before handling or
carrying out service on it.
• Do not release any connection when the tank is under
pressure.
After Using the Compressor
• Remember, the unit starts automatically. Always turn
OFF the compressor. Remove the plug from the power
supply, purge and release all the pressure in the system
before carrying out service or when not in use.
• Periodically drain humidity from the tank. A clean and dry
tank will prevent corrosion.
• Every day, pull the pressure release valve ring to assure it
works properly and to remove any obstruction from the
valve.
• To transport, fasten the compressor properly. Release the
tank's pressure before transport.
• Protect the air hose and the power cable from damage or
perforation. Carry out weekly inspections to detect weak or
worn out points. Replace if necessary.
