APT Codec Frame AoIP Module - Quick start notice
1. Before you start
Make sure the box you received contains:
• D37way to XLR breakout cable (one per AoIP Module)
• Quick Start Guide.
!
This unit does not deal with network related security issues. It is up to the user to set it in a secured
environment such as a private network, VPN, behind a firewall...WorldCast Systems cannot be held
responsible for the consequences of a security breach on the operating network.
2. Configuring your AoIP Codec Module
1. Configure each module separately as all cards are shipped from APT with the same default IP
address. If two or more cards are deployed on the same IP address, this will cause an IP addressing
conflict.
Once you've followed the entire procedure for the first unit, you will need to start over for the second
one.
2. Ensure that you have both units configured properly (that you wish to make the connection with)
and connected to a switch and the PC first before deploying on live networks.
3. Connect your AoIP card to your switch/router/network via the LAN port (ETH0) on the back of the
unit with an Ethernet cable (see connection diagram on section 5 of this quick start guide).
Note: all Codecs are set up with the same default address – make sure that you have changed
these, in order to avoid an address conflict.
4. Open a web browser and type the following IP address: 192.168.100.110. This may be changed if
required using the System/Network page of the web interface. Ensure that your PC's IP address is
set for the same network (192.168.100.xxx / 255.255.255.0)
