When pressing the [PTT], the status LED indicator lights up red.
If you speak on the microphone too close or too loudly may increase distortion and reduce
your signal in the receiver's clarity on the other radios in your group.
Release [PTT] to receive communication from the other radios of your group members.
Note:
- The best communication is achieved by keeping the equipment upright and
about 7 cm from mouth or by using an external headset (optional).
EMERGENCY [SOS]:
Press and hold the [SOS] key to turn on the alarm sound and transmit an alarm signal on
the selected channel. Press and release the [PTT] to turn off the emergency call.
[CALL] KEY:
Press and hold [CALL] key to make a call to the other radios in your group and release the
key to end the call.
CHANNEL SCAN:
Press and hold [VFO/MR] key for 3 seconds to turn on the scan function. Rotate the
Channel Selector knob in one direction or the other to change the scan direction. When an
active channel is detected, scanning will stop on the channel for 5 seconds. Press [PTT] or
[MENU] / [VFO/MR] keys to turn off the scan function.
BACKLIGHT:
The display will automatically illuminate for approximately 10 seconds when any key or the
radio's channel selector knob is operated.
KEYPAD LOCKOUT:
Press the [FUN] key, and then press [ENT] key to turn on the key lock function; repeat the
same operation to turn off the function.
VOICE PROMPT:
This radio prompts you by voice indications for operations performed on the radio.
TROUBHLESHOOTING:
If you have problems with the operation of the radio, contact your salesperson or
Authorized Technical Service.
