MalleoLoc®, you have acquired a high-quality medical product.
Please carefully and fully read the instructions for use carefully in full, as
they contain important information concerning use, indications,
contraindications, fitting, care and disposal of the MalleoLoc®. Please keep
these instructions safe, as you may want to read them again later. Should
you have any questions, please consult the physician providing your
treatment, your specialist retailer, or our technical service department.
Intended use
The MalleoLoc® is a stable orthotic device which is anatomically contoured
to fit the ankle joint. The MalleoLoc® prevents sideways tilting, and provides
effective support for muscular stabilization. MalleoLoc® can be adjusted
individually using the adjustable velcro straps. MalleoLoc® can be worn
comfortably in regular shoes and sports shoes.
Indications
• Early functional treatment for injuries of the lateral malleolar ligaments
Postoperative protection after ligamental suturing/reconstruction
Conservative treatment for severe ankle joint distortion and ruptured
ligaments
Chronic ligament insufficiency
Permissible conditions and places of use
In accordance with the indications (ankle joint).
Application risks
Caution*
Combination with other products, e. g. compression stockings, should be
discussed beforehand with the physician treating you.
Should you notice any unusual changes (e.g. increased symptoms), please
contact your physician without delay.
No product liability is accepted in the event of improper use.
Avoid the use of ointments, lotions or any substances including grease or
acids.
Do not make any changes to the product. Failure to comply can impair the
performance of the product, in which case product liability is excluded.
