Basic safety notes
Intended use
Geberit electric planes d40–160, d40–200 and d200–315 may only be used for surface planing
Geberit PE and Geberit Silent‑db20 pipes and fittings:
• Geberit electric plane d40–160 for Geberit PE and Geberit Silent‑db20 d40–160
• Geberit electric plane d40–200 for Geberit PE and Geberit Silent‑db20 d40–200
• Geberit electric plane d200–315 for Geberit PE d200–315
Geberit electric planes may only be used in conjunction with Geberit Media and Geberit Universal
welding machines:
• Geberit electric plane d40–160 in conjunction with Geberit Media and Geberit Universal welding
machines
• Geberit electric plane d40–200 in conjunction with Geberit Universal welding machines
• Geberit electric plane d200–315 in conjunction with Geberit Universal welding machines
Using the electric planes in other welding machines, or any other use or a use extending beyond
this, is deemed to be improper. Geberit will not accept any liability for any resulting damage.
Geberit electric planes may only be used in well-ventilated areas.
User qualifications
Without suitable training, users cannot detect or may incorrectly estimate the hazards presented by
electric planes. They are therefore at risk of seriously injuring themselves or others.
• Only skilled persons qualified in pipe installations are permitted to use electric planes.
• Users must be conversant with and apply country-specific safety regulations.
• Users working with an electric plane for the first time must have been instructed by an expert in the
safe handling of the electric plane or have attended a specialist course.
