Safety

Read this safety manual carefully before use. It contains important information for your safety as well as operating and
maintenance advice.
•
Keep this safety manual for future reference. If this product is passed to a third party, then this safety manual must be included.
•
The product is not intended for use by children (this product is not a toy).
•
The power adapter supplied with this product is classified as protection class II. This means the product is equipped with
reinforced or double insulation between the mains supply circuit and the output voltage or the casing. Therefore it does not
require a safety connection to an electrical earth (ground).
•
The product shall be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.
•
The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths,
curtains, etc. Keep at least 15 cm distance around the product.
•
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the product.
•
Warning! To prevent injury, this product must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance with the installation
instructions.
•
The product must be securely fixed to the mounting surface using the screws and wall plugs supplied. The screws and wall
plugs supplied are suitable for "masonry" only. Other fixings are not supplied and must be purchased separately.
•
Take care not to drill into any pipes or mains cables beneath the surface during mounting holes preparation.
•
IMPORTANT: The fixing point(s) selected must be capable of supporting the full weight of the product.
•
If you have any doubt about installation/use of this product, consult a qualified electrician.
•
Only use the product with the supplied power adaptor.
•
Do not pull the power adaptor out of the electrical outlet by the connection cord and do not wrap the connection cord around
the product.
•
Connect the power adaptor to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency the product can be
unplugged immediately. Pull the power adaptor out of the electrical outlet to completely switch off the product. Use the power
adaptor as the disconnection device.
•
Do not attempt to service this product or replace any part inside by yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to
dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
•
Do not place the product in extremely hot, cold, dusty or damp locations, and do not expose it to magnetic fields e.g.
microwaves, TV sets, computers etc.
•
Do not drop the product or subject it to physical shocks or vibrations.
•
The product is only suitable for use at moderate degrees of latitude. Do not use it in particularly humid climates.
•
When not in use or during transportation, store the product in its original packaging.
•
The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
Battery warnings:
•
Caution! Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same equivalent type.
•
Do not dismantle, open or shred batteries.
•
Keep batteries out of the reach of children. In case of ingestion of a battery, the person involved should seek medical
assistance promptly.
•
Do not expose batteries to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
•
Do not short-circuit batteries. Do not store batteries hazardously in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or
be short-circuited by other metal objects.
•
Do not subject batteries to mechanical shock.
•
In the event of a cell leaking, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash
the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
•
Observe the plus (+) and minus (−) marks on battery and equipment and ensure correct use.
•
Do not use any battery which is not designed for use with the equipment.
•
Do not mix batteries of different manufacture, capacity, size or type within a device.
•
Seek medical advice immediately if a battery has been swallowed.
•
Always purchase the battery recommended by the device manufacturer for the equipment.
•
Keep batteries clean and dry.
•
Wipe the battery terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty.
•
When possible, remove batteries from the equipment when not in use.
•
Dispose of properly.
