Warning
If the working category is not the prearranged one, fol-
low the detailed instructions indicated in section
"CHANGING TYPE OF GAS".
Only when the heater has been prearranged according to its proper
working category it will be possible to carry out the following opera-
tions:
• Leak away some gas from the feed pipe;
• Check that the pipe is gas proof;
• Connect a manometer to the pressure intake up (4) the valves
group (Fig. 3 for GA/N 45A and GA/N 80A, Fig. 4 for GA/N 100A);

sure intake down (5) the valves group (Fig. 3 for GA/N 45A and
GA/N 80A, Fig. 4 for GA/N 100A); for all other categories it's not
necessary to measure pressure down the valves group because
the valve regulation has been blocked. (cfr. "CHANGING TYPE OF
GAS");
• Open the gas stopcock and start the hot air generator;
• Carry out the supply pressure reading on the I° manometer and
turn the pressure regulator of the supply system if necessary to
obtain the correct supply pressure value indicated in Tab. I;

CHANGING TYPE OF GAS
This operation may be carried out several times during the working
life of the machine and not only at initial start-up. Therefore, first of all
check the adhesive label attached to the solenoid valve unit to establish
the original category of the gas and then consult Tab. I and identify the
reference category for natural gas or liquid gas according to country of
residence. The supply pressure, the working pressure, the use condi-
tions of pressure regulator and the diameter of the calibrated diaph-
ragm to be used will be indicated for each category.
To change kind of gas it is necessary to (Fig. 3/4):
• Substitute the calibrated diaphragm (7):
• Take down the gas valves group (6) removing the screws
that fix it to the metallic flange (8) and unscrew the calibra-
ted diaphragm (7) to insert the one indicated in Tab. I;
• Substitute the diffusion ring of the burner:
• Remove the upper body of the heater;
• Take out the ignition and ionization electrodes cables;
• Unscrew and take out the ionization electrode;
• Unscrew the four screws that fix the burner plate and take
out carefully the burner plate to which the burner head
group is fixed;
• Remove the three screws on the burner head plate and sub-
stitute the diffusion ring blocking it so that the ignition elec-
trode is equidistant between two subsequent holes;
• Carry out the calibration of the gas pressure switch (9) (only for
the GA/N 100A model):
• Regulate the gas pressure switch (9) to a value equal to half
of the supply pressure;
• Exclude the pressure regulator:

of connections to fuel networks corresponding

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
START-UP
To start the generator (Fig. 1):
• Make sure switch (3) is on "0";
• Power the generator by means of the sectioning switch on the
switchboard;
• If operation is manual, move the switch (3) to
start and after a few seconds so will the burner;
• If operation is automatic, set the room thermostat at the desired
temperature and move switch (3) to
and automatically stop when the room temperature is either
lower or higher than the setting made;
• If after these operations, the generator does not work, refer to
the "FAULTS, CAUSES AND REMEDIES" paragraph and find the
cause.
STOP
To stop operation, turn the switch (3) to "O", if operation is ma-
nual. If operation is automatic, adjust the room thermostat. Finally, clo-
se the gas supply stopcock and turn of the sectioning switch (Fig. 1).
VENTILATION
To obtain the ventilation effect only, simply turn the switch to the
position marked by the symbol
the switch to "O"/OFF (Fig. 1).
TRANSPORT AND HANDLING
The hot air generator can be raised and hung up using the four an-
chor holes on the casing.
Warning
Before moving the unit:
• Stop the machine as indicated in the "STOP" para-
graph;
• Disengage the power supply by removing the plug from
the power socket;
• Fully unscrew the fitting connecting the gas hose pipe
to the generator;
• Wait for the generator to cool down.
