Caution! Tripping hazard
Limit the risk of injury due to tripping as far
as possible.
■ Keep your place of work tidy. Remove any loose
and superfluous objects from the immediate
vicinity of the generator, inductor and
workpiece.
■ Place the power and inductor cables in such a
way that the risk of tripping is minimal.
Caution! Risk of burns
The workpiece becomes warm to very hot during
heating.
The inductor can also become hot due to contact
with the workpiece or due to the heat radiated by
the workpiece.
Always wear heat-resistant gloves when handling
the inductor and workpieces to avoid injury due
to burns.
Caution! Risk of injury during lifting
Schaeffler medium-frequency generators weigh
more than 23 kg and must not be lifted by a
single person alone.
A 10kW and 22kW generator weighs 46 kg. Lift
the device with 2 persons at the carrying handles
or use suitable lifting equipment.
A 44kW generator weighs 78 kg. Use the eyebolts
on the top of the device and suitable lifting
equipment to lift the device.
4.3 Operating elements and signalling
The MF Generator is fitted with a touch screen.
This screen can be used to set the parameters
and read process values and settings. All this can
be operated using a number of keys and tabs. If
a field in the touch screen is grey with text or a
symbol, the tab can be pressed.
Selection tab, the text in the grey field indicates
the function of the tab. When operated, a
subsequent screen appears.
These tabs serve to scroll through lines in the
different menu screens and to adjust settings.
Enter tab, this tab can be used for selecting a
line or item on the screen. This tab also serves to
confirm and save changes in the memory.
Exit tab, this tab can be used to return to a
previous screen or the main menu.
