1. A cold battery may charge at a slower rate than a
warm battery.
2. The hot/cold delay will be indicated by the green
charging LED
remaining OFF.

3. Once the battery has reached an appropriate
temperature, the green charging LED
continuously ON, indicating the tool has resumed the
charging procedure.
Electronic Protection System
Li-Ion tools are designed with an Electronic Protection
System that will protect the battery against overloading,
overheating or deep discharge. The tool will automatically
turn off and the battery will need to be recharged.
Important Charging Notes
1. The tool may become warm to the touch while
charging. This is a normal condition, and does not
indicate a problem. To facilitate the cooling of the tool
after use, avoid placing the tool in a warm environment
such as in a metal shed or an uninsulated trailer.
2. If the tool does not charge properly, take the tool and
USB cable to your local service center.
3. You may charge a partially used battery whenever you
desire, with no adverse effect on the tool.assembly and

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious

adjustments or removing/installing attachments
or accessories. An accidental start-up can cause injury.
Installing a Bit or Accessory Into a Keyless
Single Sleeve Chuck (Fig. A, C)
WARNING: Do not attempt to tighten drill bits (or
any other accessory) by gripping the front part of the
chuck and turning the tool on. Damage to the chuck
and personal injury may result. Always lock off trigger
switch when changing acces sories.
WARNING: Always ensure the bit is secure before
starting the tool. A loose bit may eject from tool
causing possible personal injury.
CAUTION: Do not install an accessory so that any
feature extends sideways past the outer rim of the
chuck sleeve.
Your tool features a keyless chuck
sleeve. To insert a bit or accessory, follow these steps.
1. Turn the tool off and position the forward/reverse
slider

into the center, locked position .
2. Grasp the chuck sleeve
the other hand to secure the tool. Rotate the sleeve
counterclockwise far enough to accept the desired bit
or accessory.
3. Insert the bit or accessory into the chuck

NoTE: Your tool is equipped with an automatic spindle
lock mechanism. This allows you to open and close the

2 above. Lift the bit or accessory out once it is no longer
held by the chuck
Installing a Hex Key Into a Keyless Single
Sleeve Chuck (Fig. C, E)
WARNING: Do not attempt to tighten drill bits (or
any other accessory) by gripping the front part of the
chuck and turning the tool on. Damage to the chuck
and personal injury may result. Always lock off trigger
switch when changing acces sories.
WARNING: Always ensure the bit is secure before

chuck. Personal injury may result.

Your tool is equipped with a special hex key slot
you to install a hex key up to 5 mm. A 4 mm hex key
has been included with this screwdriver. Various sized hex
keys may be supplied with assembly required furniture.
