The pneumatic drill and drive unit works optimally at an operating pressure of 6 bar,
measured at the air inlet when the pneumatic drill and drive unit is on. When connecting the
machine, pay attention that the lever valve, respectively the twist throttle 1 (see fig. 1) is not
actuated. Blow out the pneumatic hose before connecting the machine. Never connect a
pneumatic hose being under pressure (see safety instructions for prevention of hazards caused
by compressed air). First connect the machine and then connect the compressed air supply.
Insert the tool
Only use tools with morse taper (according to DIN 228) or square. Ensure a clean and
greaseless surface.
When inserting a tool, pay attention that the machine is not connected to a pressurized hose.
Clean the shank of your tool and that of the driling machine.
Turn back the feed spindle (by using a knob or a handwheel) and insert the tool in the inner
shank of the drilling machine. Check the secure fixing of the tool prior to startup.
Change tools
Disconnect pneumatic hose. Wear gloves when chaning tools.
The drill and the drill chuck can heat up during longer working procedures. Screw the feed
spindle (by using a knob or a handwheel, depending on the type) to press the tool out of the
shank.
Drilling/ Milling
Check the oil level. If necessary, add oil to fill up the oiler
Fit the machine with the tool required
Centre the machine with the tip in a suitable support and fix firmly.
Secure the machine on the handhold against rotation when drilling/ milling more than 100
mm diameter
Connect the air hose. (In order to remove contaminants, blow out the air hose before
connecting).
Actuate valve* and start the drilling milling operation. (The speed can be regulated, by
opening the valve more or less).
*The valve (safety lever control / twist throttle with sensor block) releases the air when the
sensor button is actuated only. (see operation safety lever control/ twist throttle with sensor
block)
Make sure that the tools and work pieces are adequately cooled (by appropriate coolants).
After finishing the drilling procedure
Shut the valve.
Shut off air and disconnect air hose.
Remove the machine from the fixture.
Remove drilling / milling tool.
Check the oiler
