BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all packing material and stickers from the product and save instruction manual.
Caution: Tear up all plastic bags as they can pose a risk to children.
Fill with water to 2/3 of the pot height.
Put the pressure regulator in place on the vent pipe.
Close the pressure cooker.
Place the pressure cooker on a heat source set to high heat.
When steam begins to exit the vent pipe, turn down the heat source and set a timer to 20 min.
After 20 min., turn off your heat source.
Put the pressure cooker under cold running water.
When the safety lock pin drops down again, the device is no longer under pressure.
Lift the pressure regulator with a fork to make sure there is no more internal pressure. If no more
steam escapes, remove the pressure regulator. If there is still steam coming from the pot, put
the pressure cooker back under cold water.
Open the pressure cooker.
Wash cooking pot and lid with warm sudsy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Apply a very light coating of cooking oil to the sealing ring and to the underside of the lugs on the
pressure cooker pot to help make the lid easier to open and close.
Note: the appearance of stains on the bottom of the pot's interior does not affect the quality of the metal.
To remove these tartar deposits, use a sponge and diluted vinegar.
HOW TO USE YOUR PRESSURE COOKER
Check recipe for specific cooking method and cooking time.
Pour required amount of liquid into the pressure cooker, and then add food.
Caution: Never fill your pressure cooker more than two-thirds full. For food that expands during cooking,
like rice or dried vegetables or stewed fruit, never fill your pressure cooker more than one-third full.
