INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Pump installation
1. Make sure your pump is not plugged in to begin
installing it.
2. Protect the pump and all plumbing from bad
weather (especially ice).
3. Do not insert your hand into the mouth of the
pump.
Select a suction tube (2A) with a diameter equivalent to
the pump mouth (1A). If the height (HA) is greater than
4 meters, use a pipe with a diameter larger than the
pump mouth.
The pipe must be perfectly watertight and must be
perfectly level in order to prevent air pockets from
forming, as they could affect the efficiency of the pump.
Always mount a bottom valve (3A) with a filter (4A)
about half a metre below the fluid that will be pumped
(HI).
Pressure losses can be reduced by using an outlet pipe
(5A) larger in diameter than the pump mouth.
It is advisable to install a check valve (6A) directly on the
outlet pipe to avoid hazardous water splashes in the
event of an unexpected pump stoppage.
A shut-off valve (7A) should also be installed to facilitate
repairs or maintenance operations.
Piping should be properly secured so as not to affect
pump performance if they vibrate, or with their weight.
They should also follow a path that is as short as
possible, that avoids excessive bends.
Make sure the motor is properly ventilated.
For permanent installations, we advise that you attach
the pump to the base. Use a non-slip material that
absorbs vibrations (e.g. rubber) between the base and
the pump.

WARNING:
The installation of your pump must be carried out with
extreme caution. Do not apply excessive force to
tighten joints. Use Teflon tape to properly seal the
joints.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Electro pumps are designed for personal use, in your
home or garden. Pumps are used to drain flood water,
transfer liquids, drain containers, draw water from wells
and mines or drain boats and yachts for a limited period
of time.
Once you have read the installation and assembly
instructions, you can start your new pump. Do so by
following these instructions carefully:
▪ Ensure that the pump is resting firmly on the bottom
of the surface it will apply suction to;
▪ Ensure that the water outlet hose is properly
connected;
▪ Ensure that the mains voltage your pump is attached
to is 230 V / 50 Hz;
▪ Ensure that the electrical outlet is not damaged in
any way;
▪ Ensure that no moisture or water can reach the
electrical connection;
▪ Avoid running the pump dry;
Before you start using your pump, fill the suction tube
(2A) and pump body (8A) using the filler cap (9A). Close
the lid once you have verified that there are no leaks.
