GENERAL SAFETY AND USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
While using brush cutters and agricultural
equipment, several basic safety precautions must
always be followed in order to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shocks and personal injuries.
Read and understand the manual before start
using this equipment. Save this manual for future
reference.
General
It is your responsibility to follow these preventive
measures in order to ensure your own safety. Always
use the brush cutter carefully and responsibly. In using
the brush cutter, you accept full responsibility for any
accidents caused to third parties or their property
during its use.
The device, including all accessories, may only be used
by individuals who have read the instruction manual
and are familiar with its handling. Before using the
brush cutter for the first time, users must ensure they
are instructed adequately and practically. Users should
be instructed by the seller or any other qualified person
on how to use the appliance. The instruction manual is
considered an integral part of the appliance and must
always be made available alongside the product.
Familiarize yourself with the control devices and usage
of the brush cutter. In particular, the user must know
how to quickly stop the equipment and the combustion
engine.
Do not use the brush cutter if you are not both
physically and mentally well. Do not operate with it
while you are tired or under the influence of
medication, drugs or alcohol.
If you have a health problem, ask your doctor if it is safe
for you to use the brush cutter before doing so.
People who use cardiac stimulators/devices
(pacemakers) should not use this type of machine
or stay near them without medical advice.
The ignition system of this machine produces a small
electromagnetic field. The influence on some active or
passive medical implants cannot be completely
excluded. To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury,
people with heart implants should consult their
physician and the implant manufacturer before using
the equipment.

Never allow the brush cutter to be used by children,
persons with limited physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, individuals with lack of experience and
knowledge or other individuals who are not familiar
with the usage instructions.
This brush cutter may only be used as stated in
this instruction manual. Any other use, which may
be dangerous and may cause injury to the user or
damage to the equipment, is not permitted.
For safety reasons, any alteration to the brush cutter
other than installing accessories specifically authorized
by the manufacturer, is prohibited. The warranty will be
voided if you alter it in any way.
You may get information on authorized accessories
from your VITO official dealer.
Petrol refueling and handling
Petrol is toxic and highly flammable. Keep petrol
only in bottles designed and approved for this
purpose. Never use water bottles or similar to remove
or store service products such as fuel. Someone,
particularly children, may be mistakenly taken to drink
them.
Always screw and tighten tank caps and fuel supply
bottles. This way the risk of fuel spillage is reduced.
Defective caps must be replaced.
Keep petrol away from sparks, flames, heat sources or
other ignition sources. Do not smoke near petrol
equipment and bottles/containers, or during the fueling
process.
Refill and empty the brush cutter's fuel tank outdoors
only. The petrol fueling process shall be carried out
before the combustion engine is switched on and with
the appliance placed on a leveled surface.
Before refueling, shut of the engine, let it cool down and
open the cap carefully so as to slowly dissipate the
excess pressure inside the tank.
Don't overfill the fuel tank. In order to allow space for
fuel to expand, never add fuel above the lower edge of
the filler cap. Additionally, comply with the instructions
for use of the combustion engine.
