ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS FOR CIRCULAR SAWS
• Use the saw to cut only dry wood. Water can cause the risk of electric shock.
• Keep hands away from the sawing range. Contact with the blade can lead to injuries.
• Switch on the saw, before applying it to the workpiece. Otherwise there is danger of
kickback when the blade jams in the workpiece.
• When the cut is completed, switch off the power tool and pull the blade out of the cut
only after it has come to a complete standstill.
• Always wait until the power tool has come to a complete stop before placing it down.
• Do not use damaged blades.
• After switching off the saw, do not stop the blade by applying side pressure.
• Secure the workpiece. Never hold the workpiece in your hand or across your legs or
against your body.
• Inspect workpiece for any nails and remove them before operation.
• Check for proper clearance under the workpiece before cutting so that the blade will
not strike the floor, workbench etc.
• Hold the power tool with a firm grip with both hands (if possible) and keep a good
balance.
• Blade diameter must be appropriate for the thickness of the workpiece.
• Clean the vents regularly and make sure that they are not clogged. Risk of overheat
or damaging the device.
• Do not use blades that require cooling down with water.
• To tighten the blade use only provided washer and screw.
• After finished working, always check if the blade cover is back to its original position.
The cover must move freely. If the cover gets stuck, clean the area around the cover.
The cover can't touch the blade itself.
• When replacing the blade, check the blade for maximum RPM. They can't exceed the
RPM of the saw.
• Included blade is for cutting wood only. Do not use it to cut different materials.
• When running for a long time, the blade can overheat. Make sure to take a break after
every 15 minutes of work, for blade to cool down.
• Do not mount the device on a table. It is not intended for stationary use.
• Do not use HSS blades.
• Do not cut steel with the saw. Sparks may ignite residues of saw dust.
Kickback and related warnings
Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or snagged moving blade. Pinching or snagging
causes rapid stalling of the cutting accessory which in turn causes the uncontrolled power
tool to be forced in the direction opposite of the accessory's rotation at the point of the
binding.
For example, if a blade is snagged or pinched by the work piece, the edge of the blade that
is entering into the pinch point can dig into the surface of the material causing the blade to
climb out or kick out.
The blade may either jump towards or away from the operator, depending on direction of
