WARNINGS
Purpose of the chair
Device used for patient support during podiatry interventions
These chairs have been designed and constructed for the use with patients of all ages.
Neither the podiatry unit nor the podiatry chair can be used in presence of flammable anaesthetic gas mixtures.
When treating patients with pace-makers or similar devices the operator must take the necessary precautions: refer to the specific
literature on the matter.
Do not exceed the loads indicated in the "technical specifications" section.
Do not remove the labels on any unit/chair devices. Should these deteriorate replace them.
Power supply
Make sure that the unit/chair electrical power supply is powered via an external differential cut-out switch with a 16A current-carrying
capacity and a 10mA trip threshold.
Make sure that chair has a separated power supply.
Make sure that the podiatry chair power supply be fitted with an efficient grounding (earth) system and that wiring complies with the
standards in force.
Climate
Under extreme conditions (heat, cold, humidity) it is advisable to let a few hours pass between unpacking the equipment and using it for
the first time. This precaution provides the time needed to eliminate any condensation that may have formed inside the packaging.
Precautions
The unit needs special precautions regarding EMC and needs to be installed and put into service according to the EMC information
contained herein.
The portable devices may affect the operation of the device.
Use only accessories that are specified in this document in order to ensure the maintenance of the EMC performance of the device.
Do not use together with other nearby devices to avoid mutual interference.
Attention: the connection of the electrical power strip leads to the creation of a SYSTEM EM, and this situation may result in a reduced
level of security. About the requirements applicable to an EM SYSTEM, the ORGANIZATION RESPONSIBLE must refer to this
standard.
Upon request S.M.D. provides circuit diagrams, spare parts list, descriptions, calibration instructions or other information to assist the
technical support personnel during installation or repair.
Should you find any fissures or cracks on the power cord or should it be partly cut off, get SMD qualified service personnel to change it.
S.M.D. cannot be held liable for any damages deriving from failure to observe the warnings and instructions contained in this
handbook.
