Extrusion of a dentine substitute from a cartridge
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Biodentine™ Gun is used to extrude dentine substitute from Biodentine™ XP cartridges for dental healthcare.
Biodentine™ Gun is reusable and has the ability to undergo 325 reprocessing cycles.
CONTRA INDICATION
There are no contra indications.

Biodentine™ Gun can be used up to 325 reprocessing cycles
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Refer to precautions for use 1 and 2 and warning 1
1. Biodentine XP cartridge preparation
1.1. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment
1.2. Refer to Biodentine™ XP instructions for use.
2. Insertion of the Biodentine™ XP cartridge in Biodentine™ Gun
2.1. Raise the Biodentine™ Gun lever until it stops in horizontal position
2.2. Align the cartridge with Biodentine™ Gun (See picture A, step 1)
2.3. Insert the cartridge into Biodentine™ Gun and lock the cartridge making a clockwise 90° turn (See picture A, step 2)
3. Priming
Hold Biodentine™ Gun, the lever with one hand, the handle with the other hand and push progressively down the lever. (Refer
to precaution for use 5, warning 9 and see picture B) Stop when the dentine substitute appears in the nozzle (See picture C)
4. Extrusion
4.1. Hold Biodentine™ Gun with one hand (See picture D)
4.2. The cartridge nozzle can be bent manually using adequate strength (due to thickness of the nozzle), to facilitate the
placement of the dentine substitute (Refer to warning 11 and see picture E)
4.3. Push progressively the lever down to allow the dentine substitute flow out of the cartridge. A homogeneous and
creamy paste is obtained
5. Application
The dentine substitute can be directly applied into the affected tooth cavity with Biodentine™ Gun. Refer to Biodentine™ XP
instructions for use for other application methods
6. Cartridge removal
6.1. Release the lever and unlock the cartridge from Biodentine™ Gun making an anti-clockwise 90° turn (See picture F
step 1) then remove the cartridge (See picture F step 2)
6.2. Dispose the cartridge in an appropriate bin. Refer to Biodentine™ XP instructions for use
7. Processing
