INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Refrigerant Pipe Connection
Pipe Connection Method:
• The refrigerant lines should be as short as possible to
ensure efficiency.
• Lubricate the flare fittings with refrigerant oil prior to
assembly.
• Always use a tubing bender when creating bends in the
refrigerant tubing.
• Align the tubing with the flare fittings before attempting
to thread the flare nut. Cross-threading can damage the
fitting. Always start threads by hand.
• Please refer to fastening torque in the "Pipe Specs and
Fastening Torque" section.
• Seal any tubing that is not being used to avoid material
damage.
Pipe Installation Precautions
1. Add dry nitrogen at 2-3 psi to the inside of the
copper tubing for brazing to prevent oxidation and
contamination of the system.
2. Copper refrigeration tubing should be clean and free
of debris before brazing. Run dry nitrogen through the
tubing at about 2 to 3psi with the tubing ends partially
obstructed to prevent oxidation and contamination.
3. The piping installation should be executed after closing
the stop valves.
4. Use a proper tubing cutter to cut copper tubing.
5. It is recommended to use a 15% silver brazing material
when joining copper tubing. Flux is not necessary when
joinging copper to copper and is not recommended.
6. To avoid personal injury and property damage, ensure
pipeline refrigerant has been evacuated before service
is completed.

Pipe Material and Specs Selection
1. Please select the refrigerant pipe following the material
below.
Material: Type L or Type K copper refrigeration tube.
Model: C1220T-1/2H (diameter is over 3/4" (19.05mm)):
C1220T-0(diameter is below 5/8" (15.88)).
2. Thickness and Specs:
Confirm the pipe thickness and specs according to the
pipe selection method (the unit is charges with R410A).
3. Use only branch and gather fittings made by Haier.
4. Refer to the operating instructions when installing stop
valves.
5. Follow the installation guide or the selection software
for piping installation instructions.
6. Follow the installation manual for branch and gather
pipe installation instructions.
