ASSEMBLE THE POLE
THREE CAPABLE ADULTS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROCEDURE.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS WARNING COULD RESULT IN
SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
TWO CAPABLE ADULTS ARE REQUIRED TO LIFT POLE INTO
POSITION SO THAT THE THREADED ASSEMBLY ROD (20)
CAN BE INSTALLED AND SECURED BY THE THIRD CAPABLE
ADULT.
3. While the pole (1) is resting on the scrap wood, position the rod (20) and use the hitch pin (18)
and cotter pin (19) to lock in place to the hinge plate (2).
4. Slide the barrel washer (21) onto the other end of the rod (20) and secure with the washer (22)
and nut (17).
5. Tighten the nut (17) until it is positioned at 3-3/4" from the end of the rod (20).
6. Two capable adults lift the pole (1) up, and the third adult moves the barrel washer (21) to the
seat on the bottom of the pole (1). This holds the pole (1) up at approximately a 45º angle to
perform the rest of the assembly.
