Important Advice
Please read through these operating instructions carefully prior to operating the pour-over water kettle for the
first time and pay particular attention, in your own interest, to the safety advice in order to avoid accidents and
malfunctions. Safety can be impaired through incorrect use, or through inadequate cleaning and care. This
can result in serious danger to the user. cilio cannot accept any responsibility for injuries or damage that can
be attributed to improper use.
Safety Advice
· Should this appliance be passed on to other people, make sure that these operating instructions are handed
to them along with it.
· No liability can be accepted for any damage or losses that may arise in the event of improper use or incorrect
handling. This appliance is only intended for domestic use. Do not use the appliance outside.
· Please check whether the type of current and the mains voltage comply with the information on the rating label.
· Do not touch the appliance, the base plate or the mains plug with wet or damp hands.
· Do not use any multiple socket that is already being used to run other appliances.
· Use the appliance under supervision and for the intended purpose only.
· This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children.
· Children shall not play with the appliance.
· Do not at all operate this unit with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system.
· Only place the appliance on non-flammable, flat and stable surfaces and not near hot plates, gas flames or
other sources of heat and out of the reach of children. Ensure sufficient free space above and near the appliance
to avoid overheating. Use the kettle with the accompanying base plate only. Protect sensitive surfaces from
splashes that may occur.
· Take care that when using the appliance the base plate and the bottom of the kettle are completely dry.
· Fill the kettle up to the M X marking only. Only operate the appliance with water and never without water or
with any other liquids.
· lways ensure that the lid is tightly closed before switching on the appliance.
· The appliance becomes very hot when in use. In the event of contact with hot surfaces there is a risk of burns.
Please take hold of the water kettle by the handle and the lid knob only and use an oven cloth or glove if
necessary. Do not carry or move the appliance while in operation.
· Do not open the lid before the boiling process has come to an end.
· Ensure that the water kettle is switched off before you remove it from its base.
· Remove the mains plug every time after use, and also:
· In event of malfunction whilst in operation.
· Every time that it is being cleaned.
Please do not pull on the connecting cable but on the plug itself.
· Do not allow the power cord to dangle and place the device in a way that no one can fall over the cord.
· Never immerse the appliance, the base, the cable or the plug in water or other liquids. Please do not clean in
the dishwasher.
· Clean the pour-over water kettle frequently with standard decalficier.
