1. Find a suitable place to mount reservoir (9), as
close to rear of engine as possible. Keep the fol-
lowing in mind:
•
You will need access for mounting the reser-
voir and solenoid (10) brackets to the boat.
•
The operator must be able to access the top
of the reservoir to refill with concentrate.
2. Use lag screws or other hardware (not supplied),
through ears on bracket, to mount reservoir to the
boat.
3. Cut a 6–12 in. (15–30 cm) length of hose (7) to
connect between reservoir and solenoid nipples.
4. Find a suitable place to mount solenoid. Keep the
following in mind:
•
The solenoid must be mounted within the cut
hose's reach of the reservoir.
•
You will need access for mounting the sole-
noid bracket to the boat.
•
You will also need access to the wiring con-
nector on the solenoid.
5. Use lag screws or other hardware (not supplied),
through ears on bracket, to mount the solenoid to
the boat.
CAUTION! Ensure there are no kinks in any
of the hoses. Kinks could restrict flow and
damage the cooling system and engine.
6. Locate the water inlet hose that goes to the sea
water pump (A).
7. Select an accessible location on the hose between
pump and water inlet supply. Cut straight through
hose.
8. Install the two clamps (2) provided in kit onto each
side of hose.
