5. INSTALLATION
5.2 Choice of Installation Location
• The unit must be installed indoors and protected from the weather.
• It must be installed vertically in places such as basements, garages, etc.
• There must be easy access to the hydraulic and electrical connections for
installation and maintenance.
• The unit must be installed on a level floor that can support the weight
and any movements during use.
• Install the unit in a place that conforms to IP standards (protection against
penetration of fluids) in accordance with the regulations currently in force.
• Install the unit as close as possible to the point of use to reduce heat
loss from the pipes.
• Choose a location which does not obstruct doors and passageways.
• Do not install near to sources of heat, steam or inflammable gas.
• In case of leakage, the coolant could form toxic gasses if it comes into
direct contact with open flames.
• Child-proof the area around the area, thus preventing access.
• Do not install the unit outdoors and/or in aggressive environments that
contain, for example, acid vapours, fumes, dust or saturated with gas.
• Do not install the unit in a room which contains another apparatus that
requires air for its operation (gas-fired boiler, gas water heater).
• Ensure the free movement of air around the unit.
• Do not obstruct the air intake or exhaust grills with curtains or other
obstruction. The upper part should be free of any obstacle, do not store
any objects on the unit.
• Ensure adherence to minimum operating spaces for maintenance.
