Wiring diagram
* Electrical protections must be considered in accordance to local regulations. Low voltage electrical installations
must be complied for the safety of users, electrical installations, equipment and animals.
* This equipment is extremely safe because of its direct voltage operation, using low voltage and direct current di-
rectly in the Pool Lights, avoiding electrical discharges or accidents derived from the use of electricity in or around
the swimming pool.
Connecting Pool Lights in a parallel circuit
Example of an RGB Pool Light parallel connection: it is necessary to connect cables with the same matching colors
so that the Pool Lights are always color synchronized.
Compatibility with other Pool Lights
The LED Light Controller Basic Piccolo is compatible with other pool light manufacturers that handle 12VDC.
These Pool Lights use a single cable with 4 internal colored wires. Just take into consideration that not all manu-
facturers follow the same color patterns for reflector cables. Check with the Pool Lights manufacturer which
colors correspond RED, GREEN, BLUE and C channels (common 12V-WHITE) and connect them to the controller
as indicated on page 6.
Auto Colors Test
Whenever LED Light Controller Basic Piccolo is connected to the power, it goes through a test routine that
assists in verifying the installation. The reflectors turn on and off in the following order: Green> Red>
Green> Blue. In this way it is possible to see if the colors are connected correctly.
Observe carefully that the first color to flash must be green. It indicates that the controller memory is
OK. If the first color is blue, it means that the Basic Piccolo's memory is erased, so the remote control
must be reprogrammed.
NOTE: To repeat the test routine, remove the controller from the power, wait a few seconds and turn on
again.
After the test routine, just press the button (ON / OFF) on the remote control, or on the Basic Piccolo
front panel. The first time it is turned on, Basic Piccolo starts from the first effect (see table of effects).
However, every time it is turned off, the color, effect and light intensity are memorized, starting with
these when turned on again.
