Note: Before using for the first time, it is recommended to use the steam ironing function
(maximum temperature) over a damp cloth for a few minutes to remove any manufacturing
residues.
Filling the reservoir and Switching on
1. Before filling, ensure to set the temperature control to '0' and disconnect the iron from the power
supply.
2. Set the steam control to 'O'.
3. Tilt the iron slightly and add water via the water inlet. Then close the water inlet cover. Note: Do not
fill the reservoir beyond the 'MAX' level mark.
4. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply.
5. Set the temperature control to suitable setting (See section 'Ironing tips'). The
power indicator light turns On.
6. Stand the appliance vertically on its base and let it heat up.
WARNING: The soleplate becomes hot very quickly. Do not touch
at any time during heating up or before cooling down.
7. Once the set temperature is reached, the power indicator light turns Off. (Note: During use, the
power indicator light cycles On and Off to maintain the set temperature.)
