YVC-331 User's Manual
Symptom
The remote party
cannot hear you.
The remote party
cannot hear sound far
away from this product.
You hear echoes.
The remote party hear
echoes or howling
noises.

Cause
Your microphone is muted.
The microphone sensitivity of the PC or
Mac connected via USB is set to the
minimum.
On the PC or Mac connected via USB,
a microphone other than YVC-331 is
selected for the call application.
The speaker on the remote party is
muted.
The speaker volume on the remote
party is set to the minimum.
SoundCap is enabled.
The remote party has a problem with
their device configuration or operating
environment.
The PC or Mac connected via USB
does not recognize the product
properly.
On the PC or Mac connected via USB,
a speaker and microphone other than
YVC-331 are selected for the call
application.
Even though a videoconference system
is connected to the EXT IN/OUT
terminals, the connected device setting
is set to "YVC-331 daisy chain
connection".
A videoconference system with
substantial delay and distortion is
connected to the EXT IN/OUT
terminals.
The product is installed near a wall.
Objects are placed near the product.
The product is used in a room with
large reverberations.
Action
Unmute your microphone.

Increase the microphone
sensitivity on that machine.
Select YVC-331 in the
microphone device settings of
the call application.
Ask the remote party to
unmute their speaker.
Ask the remote party to turn
up their speaker.
Disable SoundCap.

configured properly.

Select YVC-331 in both the
speaker and microphone
device settings of the call
application.
Change the connected
device setting to
"Videoconference system".

Use a videoconference
system with a little delay and

any wall.
Do not place any object
around the product if
possible.
• Place an object with high
sound absorption in the
room, away from the front
of the microphone.
• To reduce the
reverberations, turn down
the speaker.
