Safety functions
18 The specially developed safety features of
the LOW-KICKBACK SAW CHAIN will help
you reduce and absorb the force created by a
kickback.
2 The front hand guard (chain brake) protects
the left hand of the operator if it slips off the
front handle while the chain saw is running.
The CHAIN BRAKE is a safety function that
reduces injuries caused by kickback by
stopping a running saw chain in milliseconds.
It is activated by the front hand guard (chain
brake).
6 The ON/OFF SWITCH stops the motor as
soon as it is switched off .
5 The SAFETY LOCK-OFF prevents the motor
being turned on accidentally. The ON/OFF
SWITCH can only be pressed if the safety
lock-off is also pressed.
22 The CHAIN CATCH reduces the risk of
injuries if the saw chain breaks or slips while
the motor is running. The chain catch is
designed to catch a chain that is wrapping
around itself.
Note: Familiarize yourself with the chain saw and
its parts.
2.2 Items supplied

3. Intended use
Danger! This special type of chain saw is
intended specifi cally for tree care. During use,
the rear handle should be held in the right
hand and the front handle should be held in
the left hand. It should only be operated by fully
trained users to remove branches and to cut off
the tops of standing trees. Persons using the
chain saw must have read and understood the
safety requirements contained in the operating
instructions, and they must wear appropriate
personal protective equipment (PPE).
The chain saw must only be operated by persons
who are fully trained for this type of chain saw.
The user must be trained in all manual chain saw
work skills. This chain saw is not intended for use
in other types of applications.
The equipment is allowed to be used only for its
prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to
be a case of misuse. The user/operator and not
the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or
injuries of any kind resulting from such misuse.
