SECTION 5 - Storage and Disposal of your
Pilot-12/24 Lite Battery Backup Power Supply
CAUTION! Fully charge your Pilot Lite before storage and at least EVERY 6 MONTHS
thereafter. Failure to do this will be considered negligence and will void the warranty.
Store the Pilot-12 Lite or Pilot-24 Lite in a cool, dark, well ventilated place with normal
temperatures of 0 °C / 32 °F to 35 °C / 95 °F. CAUTION! Keep out of direct sunlight!
The disposal of this unit should be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and
regulations reflecting the purchaser's geographic location. For more information on

SECTION 6 - Warnings and Safety Precautions
WARNING – When using the Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24 Lite, basic precautions should
always be followed including the following:
a) Read all the instructions before using the Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24 Lite.
b) To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when the Pilot-12
Lite/Pilot-24 Lite is used near children.
c) Do not put fingers or hands into the Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24 Lite.
d) Do not expose the Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24 Lite to rain or snow.
e) Use of a power supply or charger not recommended or sold by Medistrom may
result in a risk of fire or injury to persons.
f) Do not use the Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24 Lite in excess of their respective output
ratings. Overloading outputs above rating may result in a risk of fire or injury
to persons.
g) Do not use a Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24 Lite that is damaged or modified. Damaged
or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire,
explosion or risk of injury to persons.
h) Do not disassemble the Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24 Lite. Take it to a qualified service
person when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a
risk of fire or injury to persons.
i) Do not expose the Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24 Lite to fire or excessive temperature.
Exposure to fire or temperature above 100°C (212°F).
j) Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24
Lite is maintained.
k) Make sure the Pilot-12 Lite/Pilot-24 Lite is switched off when not in use.
