Troubleshooting
Refer to the chart below when this product does not function properly. If the problem you are
experiencing is not listed below or if the instruction below does not help, turn off the product,
disconnect the power cord, and contact the nearest authorized dealer or Samsung Electronics Service
Center.
Symptom
I cannot eject the disc.
Playback does not start
immediately when the
Play/Pause button is pressed.
Sound is not produced.
The remote control does not
work.
• T he product is not working.
(Example: The power goes out or
the front panel key doesn't work
or ou hear a strange noise.)
• T he product is not working
normally.
Can't receive radio broadcast.
Turn off automatically after
displaying "PROTECT"

• Is the power cord plugged securely into the outlet?
• Turn off the power and then turn it back on.
• A re you using a deformed disc or a disc with scratches on the surface?
• Wipe the disc clean.
• N o sound is heard during fast playback, slow playback, and step
motion playback.
• A re the speakers connected properly? Is the speaker setup correctly
customized?
• I s the disc severely damaged?
• I s the remote control being operated within its operational angle and
distance range?
• Are the batteries drained?
• R un the reset function. With the "NO DISC" message on the display of
the product and no disc in the disc slot, press and hold the
button on the product for more than 5 seconds.
Using the RESET function will erase all stored settings.
Do not use this unless necessary.
• Is the antenna connected properly?
• I f the antenna's input signal is weak, install an external FM/AM antenna in
an area with good reception.
• C heck the power in use is within the range of the power which specified
on the rear label of the product.
• I f "Voltage Selector" is on the rear panel, check the power is same with
the voltage that you set manually.
