1. Prefill the pulse unit with ESSO UNIVIS J26 using the injection
syringe <B>.
2. Connect the pulse unit to the quick-action coupling using the
adapter <A2>.
3. Close the shut-off cock.
4. Connect supply pressure of approx. 5 bar.
5. Slowly open shut-off cock, until the pressure gauge shows a
vacuum pressure of approx. 1 mbar (-1 bar).
6. Wait for approx. 2 minutes, until the number of vacuum bubbles
has decreased substantially.
7. Carefully close the shut-off cock. The pressure gauge again shows
atmospheric pressure, missing oil is forced into the pulse unit.
8. Repeat steps 5 to 7 if necessary, until no more bubbles form.

Decouple the pulse unit, unscrew the adapter and top up with a few
drops of oil from the injection syringe <B>.

Fasten plug screw <70> (5+1 Nm).

The bearing ring <46> must not turn with the plug screw!

Tighten bearing ring <46> to the required torque (8. Assembly
Notes, fig. 15).

Install ball bearing <72> in housing <74>. Insert O-ring <73>.

Lock pulse unit to motor module.

Install equalizing washer <71> to hydraulic cylinder <68>.
-
Screw housing <74> onto pistol grip housing <1> and tighten it
using a strap wrench.
Remarks:
Small bubbles appearing at high vacuum pressure in the
wetting layer between the oil and the material are not
indicating leakage of the pulse unit. The filling result will
not be affected thereby.

OPPING UP

Set valve screw <63> to minimum adjustment.

Remove plug screw <70>.

Using the assembly device <C>, loosen the bearing ring <46> by
360° +90° (counterclockwise).

Fill with oil as outlined in section 6.6.
