Note: It is advisable to test the spraying on a white sheet of paper, to determine the position and the correct
amount of the material to be applied.
2. CONTROL OF THE AMOUNT OF THE MATERIAL
2.1 AIR PLUS SPRAY SCHULZ - Split
Defi ne the amount of the material, turning the regulator of the air intake of the gun (see Figure 9.7):
+ turning to the right
greater volume of material
- turning to the left
smaller volume of material
2.2 AIR PLUS SPRAY SCHULZ Compact
Defi ne the amount of the material, turning the regulator with the activation trigger of the gun (see Figure 9.6):
+ turning to the right
greater volume of material
- turning to the left
smaller volume of material

3. SPRAYING TECHNIQUES
The result of the work depends directly on the fi nishing and cleaning degree of the surface to be painted. Prepare
the region carefully leaving it free of dust or dirt;
Protect the surfaces that will not be painted;
Perform uniform motion, by doing it you will get better quality fi nishing;
Clean with solvent or with water the fi nishing material waste that eventually accumulates in the spraying nozzle
or the paint regulator;
The spraying motion must start from the arm and not form the hand joint. With this, you will guarantee the dis-
tance between the equipment and the working area, keeping it constant. Depending on the width of the spraying
jet, keep a distance from 5 to 15 cm;
The Figure 9.8A – CORRECT – shows the correct distance with a quality and homogeneous fi nishing.
The Figure 9.8B – WRONG – shows an uneven distance, a surface with a lower and not homogeneous fi nishing.
