Trouble or fault
The power tool
doesn't work and
all four LEDs on
the battery charge
status display blink.
The control switch
can't be pressed, i.e.
the switch is locked.
Running speed sud-
denly drops consid-
erably.
The battery runs
down more quickly
than usual.
The battery doesn't
engage with an audi-
ble double click.
The power tool or
the battery becomes
very warm.
9 Disposal
Most of the materials from which Hilti tools and appliances are manu-
factured can be recycled. The materials must be correctly separated before
they can be recycled. In many countries, your old tools, machines or appli-
ances can be returned to Hilti for recycling. Ask Hilti Service or your Hilti
representative for further information.

Possible cause
The power tool was
overloaded briefly.
The overheating cut-out
has been activated.
The forward/reverse
selector switch is in the
middle position.
Low battery.
Very low ambient tem-
perature.
The retaining lugs on the
battery are dirty.
Electrical fault.
The tool is overloaded
(application limits ex-
ceeded).
Action to be taken
▶ Release the control
switch and then press
it again.
▶ Allow the power tool
to cool down. Clean
the air vents.
▶ Push the
forward/reverse
switch to the left or
right.
▶ Change the battery
and charge the empty
battery.
▶ Allow the battery to
warm up slowly to
room temperature.
▶ Clean the retaining
lugs and push the
battery in until it
engages. Contact
Hilti Service if the
problem persists.
▶ Switch the power
tool off immediately,
remove the battery,
keep it under obser-
vation, allow it to cool
down and contact
Hilti Service.
▶ Select a suitable
power tool for the
application.
