Disassembling the cutting knife
• Insert the hex spanner (6) in the holes (5), (3), and (4) to lock the assembly, [Fig. 07, page 09].
• With the help of the nut wrench, loosen the nut clockwise and remove it and all items you wish to keep.
• To assemble the nylon string reel, please refer to "Assembling the reel" [Page 22].
Oil
Use only high quality oil available in the market for 2-stroke air-cooled engines. Mix the gasoline with 4% 2-stroke
oil in a 25:1 ratio.
Gasoline
Gasoline, under certain conditions, is extremely flammable and represents an explosion hazard.
• Fill the fuel tank only in a well-ventilated place and with the engine switched off and cool. Do not smoke around
the fuel tank. Avoid all heat sources near the fuel tank or where fuel is stored.
• Do not fill the fuel tank to the brim. Its capacity is 800 ml.
• After filling the fuel tank, check whether the cap is firmly attached and locked in place.
• When filling the tank, be careful not to spill any fuel. Spilled fuel or gasoline fumes may explode. Wipe any fuel
spilled on the equipment immediately. If there is spilled gasoline on the ground, move at least 10 meters away
from the spot before turning the equipment on.
• Avoid prolonged contact with the skin and inhaling gasoline fumes.
Instructions for mixing oil and gasoline
Old and/or wrongly mixed fuel are the main reasons for the equipment to not function perfectly. Always use good
quality gasoline (maximum use by date within 30 days). Thoroughly follow the instructions for a correct gasoline/
oil mix. Mix the gasoline with 4% 2-stroke oil in a 25:1 ratio. Do not mix the fuel directly in the tank. Use the mixer
included with the grass trimmer.
Filling the tank
• Mix the gasoline and oil in the fuel mixer included with the grass trimmer at a 25:1 ratio.
• Remove the fuel tank cap.
• Fill the tank with 800 ml of the mixture, never filling up to the brim.
• Replace the cap.
• Move at least 10 meters away from the filling place before turning the engine on.
Operation
Start the engine and then attach the equipment to the support belt to use.
Cold engine start
• Press the throttle lock button (2) and then press the throttle (3) all the way down so it is locked [Fig. 08, page 10].
Turn the switch to the "I Start" position (1). Release the throttle (3) so the "I Start" button remains activated.
