Sleep timer

The unit can be set to enter standby after a specified
amount of time.

Setting the sleep timer

Press the SLEEP button repeatedly until the desired setting
appears on the display.
The settings for the time until the unit enters standby
change as follows (shown in minutes).

When the sleep timer is active, the SLEEP indicator appears
at the bottom right of the display.
o The display is dimmed when the sleep timer is active.
o When the sleep timer is active, press the SLEEP button
once to show for a few seconds the amount of time
until the unit enters standby.

Automatic power saving function
This unit has an automatic power saving function.
The automatic power saving (APS) function works differ-
ently depending on its setting and the selected audio
source.
When automatic power saving (APS) is on, the unit will
enter standby mode when about 30 minutes pass without
operation under the following conditions.
CD: stopped/paused or no disc loaded
Bluetooth: no connection
AM/FM: unit will not enter standby mode
Using any controls on the main unit or the remote control
will turn the unit on again.
Checking APS status
If APS is off, "APS oFF" will appear on the display when the
unit is turned on.
Setting the automatic power saving
function

Press and hold the STANDBY/ON and skip/
search (,/) buttons for five seconds.
"APS" will appear for five seconds and then the current
setting "ON" or "OF" (off ) will be shown.

Turn the MULTI JOG dial to change the
setting.

Press the STANDBY/ON button to confirm
the setting.
o If nothing is done for 20 seconds, the display will
return to normal.
