NOTE: For greater comfort and safety, require the help of a person to hold the
ladder for you and pass the fan to you once you get on it.
Assembling the blades
The fan blade screw washers can be
attached to each screw before
mounting. The screws and washers are
in one of the packages. Align the blades
with the screw holes and insert the
screws along with the washers. First
install the screws by hand and then
tighten them with a screwdriver. Repeat
for the remaining blades.
Unscrew the fan blade screws and
lockwashers from the bottom of the
motor. If the motor plastic fasteners are
tight on the fan blade screws, remove
the plastic fasteners (save the screws
and lock washers to secure the fan
blades). Align the blade holes with the
screw holes on the motor and secure
the fan blades with the lock washer and
screws. Before permanently tightening
the screws, repeat this procedure for
the remaining fan blades. Tighten all the
bolts. Tighten the blade bolts every six
months.
