4. Troubleshooting Tips
•
If the device is missing from the OBS menu, click the video device in the
Sources menu, deactivate the device, unplug and re-plug the HDMI source
cable and reactivate the device.
•
The power LED should be lit.
•
Check that all cables are connected to the correct input and output ports.
•
Check that audio settings on the computer are set for 48KHz and try different
audio settings in the software such as the sync offset.
•
Check that the included USB cables are being used. For USB-C hosts, the
included USB-A cable and USB-C adapter must be used. Standard USB-C to
USB-A cables are not compatible.
•
HDCP is not supported for viewing protected content. Disable HDCP on the
PlayStation 4. macOS devices cannot output video via HDMI due to HDCP
restrictions.
•
Check the audio settings from the source device or computer.
•
Unplug the HDMI cable, deactivate the device in the 3rd party software, replug
the HDMI cable and activate the device in the software.
•
Test each HDMI cable by connecting it with other equipment.
•
Recommended maximum total HDMI cable distance is 15 feet.
