3.4.2 Long-term storage
If the machine will not be used for a long time, it should be prepared for it:
•
Drain the pump of residual water if it has recently been used.
•
Drain the fuel from the tank.
•
Run the machine until the engine uses up the remaining fuel in the
carburetor and then stops by itself.
•
Allow the engine to cool down - at least 5 minutes.
•
Remove the spark plug from the engine.
•
Pour one teaspoon of clean engine oil into the spark plug hole.
•
Pull the starter lever slowly several times to distribute the added oil in
the combustion chamber and lubricate the internal components of the
engine.
Reinstall the spark plug.
•
Clean the machine from dust and other impurities.
•
Store in a shaded place away from sources of heat, fire, moisture, etc.
