High Limit Switches
WARNING
Fire Hazard
■ Do not operate the heater with either of the high
limit switches bypassed.
■ Operating the heater with a bypassed high limit
switch may lead to overheating, possibly
resulting in a fire, with subsequent damage to
the heater or property damage.
This heater is equipped with two auto reset high limit
switches. These are normal closed high limit switches and are
non-adjustable. They are located inside a metal enclosure on
the side of the heater.
NOTE: The rear high limit switch is rated for 125°F and the
front high limit switch is rated for 190°F.

Both high limit switches should be tested a minimum of once
per year when the heater is given a thorough cleaning.
1. Remove the high limit switch.
2. Apply a small flame only to the sensing portion on the back
of the switch.
