Use
•
Before using the unit for the first time, clean the cooking plates with a wet cloth. To open
the unit, unhook the latch and then use the handle to lift the top plate.
•
Install your unit on a flat, stable surface, away from any significant heat-generating
appliances.
•
Remember that the power cable must remain easily accessible. Do not pull on the power
cable.
NOTE:
•
During the first few uses, the unit may emit some smoke and/or an odour;
this is completely normal and in no way affects its operation.
•
To prevent the unit from overheating and any accidents, we recommend
preparing everything before turning on and using your unit.
•
Do not use frozen products.
•
Do not overfill the cooking plates.
•
Do not handle hot food with your hands. Always use utensils and oven gloves.
•
Always use utensils that will not damage your unit; wooden ones are highly
recommended for this unit. Never use metal or sharp utensils.
•
When the unit is in use, do not rest the utensils on its hot surfaces.
•
Prepare the food to be cooked. Sandwiches (paninis, croque-monsieurs, etc.) can be
prepared according to your own recipe ideas.
•
Once the food has been prepared, you can start cooking it. Connect the unit to the power
supply. The red indicator light will switch on whilst the unit is heating up.
•
The unit takes approx. 5 minutes to heat up. Do not open the unit while it is heating up.
•
Once pre-heated, the green indicator light will light up, indicating that the unit is ready
for use.
•
Open the unit by lifting the top plate via the handle. Place the food to be cooked on the
unit's bottom plate. Gently close the unit via the handle.
•
The cooking time depends on the type and size of the food, in addition to your cooking
preferences. Regularly monitor the cooking progress.
•
When cooked, transfer the food to a plate using a wooden utensil.
•
If you would like to cook some more, repeat the above-mentioned steps.
•
When cooking is complete, unplug the unit.
TIPS
You can lightly butter or oil the cooking plates to prevent the food from sticking.
You can also lightly butter the outside surface of the slices of bread.
When you have finished cooking, switch off the unit and unplug it from the power
supply. Let it cool completely before carrying out any cleaning, maintenance
or storage operations.
