4. ASSEMBLING AND ADJUSTING THE SCOOTER
Note:
This electric scooter is delivered folded as shown in figure 25.
Assembling the handlebar. Fig. 26
1. Adjust the brake levers to the desired height and secure them.
2. Align and insert the handlebar base into the handlebar fixing hole.
3. Adjust the direction and secure the handlebar with four screws.
Unfolding the bar
1. Press the folding system's locking mechanism on the scooter's rear mudguard while lifting
the bar.
2. Raise the bar until the folding system gets automatically locked by the first tab.
3. Secure the bar by closing the second tab.
4. Make sure it is locked into place.

1. Lift the tab latch.
2. Move the folding lever.
3. Lower the folding tab and the second tab will open automatically.
4. Align the latch hook with the locking mechanism on the rear mudguard and press
downwards to fix it.
Assembling the battery. Fig. 28
The battery is already installed and connected.
To extract the battery:
1. Turn the key and unplug the connector cable.
2. Once done, the battery will be loose and ready for extraction in the scooter's cavity.
To insert the battery:
1. Lift the deck.
2. Insert the battery, plug the connector to activate the electrical circuit, and turn the key for
the pivot to lock the battery into place.
Adjusting the front and rear brakes
Check that the brakes are correctly positioned on the handlebars. Fig. 29
- The brakes should be about 5-6 cm away from the handlebar grip.
- Stand on the vehicle to check the distance between the handlebar grip and the brake.
- Should the brakes exceed the recommended distance, turn the brake washer (A) to adjust
it.

The front and rear brakes require regular adjustment. Fig. 30
- To adjust the brakes, loosen the nut (B) with the hexagon spanner. Then tighten the brake
cable, (shorten the brake cable upwards if too tight, pull downwards if too loose) and then
tighten the nut. The adjustment method is the same for the front and rear brakes: This will
allow the wheel to turn easily when the brake is not in use and will simultaneously cause
the electric scooter to stop immediately when activated:
1. Brake caliper
2. Locknut
3. Brake disc
4. Brake pads (inside the brake caliper)
Note:
- The Cecotec Bongo S+ Max Infinity series electric scooter features only a front disc brake.
- For each adjustment you make, tighten the corresponding bolts on the calipers, discs, and
brake pads in addition to the locknut.
5. OPERATION
Power and operation
1. Hold down the button for 2 seconds.
2. Step on the deck with one foot and use the other one to propel yourself forward.
3. Place both feet on the deck.
4. Press the accelerator with your right hand. The electric motor will deliver power when the
speed of the scooter is equal to or greater than 3 km/h.
5. Press the accelerator to increase the speed.
WARNING
Do not ride too fast.
6. Use the brake to stop or to ride more slowly. Step on the rear mudguard softly to help
during the braking process.
7. Get off the electric scooter only when you ride at a very low speed or when you are still.
8. Fold down the kickstand (item no. 8 - Fig. 22) to park your electric scooter when not in use.
