4. BASIC OPERATION
4.8 TV/CABLE TV (CATV)
It is important to know what type of signal-Cable TV(CATV) or a normal
antenna (TV)-you are using. To tell the TV whether you are using a Cable
TV signal, set the TV/CATV to TV or CATV as follows:
Activate the PRESET menu.
Press CHANNEL DOWN button to enter the submenu selection.
Press the CHANNEL UP/DOWN button to select TV/CATV.
Press the VOLUME UP/DOWN button to select TV or CATV.
Choose CATV if you have Cable TV service. If you do not have
Cable TV service and you connected an antenna to the TV, choose TV.
4.9 SELECTING COLOR SYSTEM
This feature allows you to select your desired Color system. If Auto is selected, the
respective color system will be automatically selected according to the transmission
system.
Note: Select your desired color system manually if reception is poor.
Press the COLOR button once to display the current color system.
Press the COLOR button repeatedly to select your desired color system(Auto,
NTSC358, PAL-M, PAL-N).
4.10 DISPLAY
Press the DISPLAY button on remote control to display the current status of the
TV set, such as the current channel No. (or AV input), and the sound status.
Press DISPLAY button again, the current time will be displayed on the top screen
if you set the current time in the sub-menu of TIMER.
4.11 MUTE
Press MUTE button on remote control to temporarily turn off the sound and
the sign of MUTE as shown will appear on the screen. Press the MUTE button
once again to restore the sound. Besides, press VOLUME UP button can
also restore the normal sound output.
4.12 SELECTING TV/AV
Press TV/AV button repeatedly to select the TV or Audio/Video Inputs(AV
or S-video, YUV).
