MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION OF YOUR BICYCLE
Your official MEGAMO dealer delivers your bike ready for use. However, you must
take regular care of your bike and have it checked regularly by your MEGAMO
dealer. This is the only way to ensure the long-term function of all components.
The first service should be carried out after about 50 km or after 5 to 15 hours of
use, after a period of four to six weeks. It is necessary to check and maintain the
MEGAMO bike, because during the "running-in" of the bike, the spokes settle or the
derailleur becomes loose, and it is very important to check the tightening torque
of the motor fastening bolts. This process is unavoidable. So be sure to make an
appointment with your MEGAMO dealer to have your new bike checked. This initial
inspection is decisive for the function and service life of your MEGAMO bike.
The motor, battery, control elements and display do not require any further
maintenance, except for the necessary regular charging of the battery.
Regular inspections and the timely replacement of wearing parts, e.g. chain, brake
pads or brake and shift cables, are part of the intended use of your bike. This
ensures a long and reliable function of the components and therefore influences the
liability for damage caused by defective products and the warranty.
WEAR PARTS
By the nature of their function, some components of your bicycle are subject to
wear. The degree of wear depends on maintenance and use (mileage, rides in the
rain, dirt, salt, etc.).
MEGAMO bicycles that are always or frequently exposed to weather influences
wear out faster than normal.
Regular care and maintenance increases the service life of the bike. However, the
necessary components should be replaced when they have reached their wear limit.
