equipment beyond its capabilities!
USE AND PRECAUTIONS: The door anchor is a temporary and transportable anchorage point, which complies with the European Directive 89/686 CEE. It
has been designed to be installed on door or window frames from 60 to 125 cm. The window or door frame should have a minimum breaking strength able to
support static loads applied in the direction of use of at least 12 kN for one user and 13 kN for two users.
Installation: Install the anchor bar on the other side of the frame where the user shall work
(figure 1). Unscrew as much as possible the adjusting screw from the adjusting plate, remove the
safety pin and bring the adjusting plate back to the 2 D-rings. Install the fastening plate on one
side of the frame support. Bring the adjusting plate as close as possible to the other side of the
frame support, and put the safety pin in the adjusting plate and in the closest hole of the support
bar. Retighten the adjusting screw in order to make sure that the system is properly fixed. Secure
the tightening by blocking the security lever.
Check the stability of the system by exerting a push in the direction in which the strength shall be
applied.
It is recommended that the installation of this anchor point be supervised by a qualified person.
In all cases, connections between the attachment D-Rings and the fall arrest system should be
made through connectors (EN362). During the use, please check regularly that the connector is
correctly closed.
Thus installed, the anchor point can be used according to the 2 following setups:
On window frame (façade), use in « vertical » setup: combined with a fall arrest EN360, EN355
or EN353 in order to catch the user in case of a fall.
On doorframe (indoors), use in « horizontal » setup: combined with a work restraint system
EN358 in order to prevent the user from accessing to an area where there is a risk of falling.
Make sure that the work is done in such a way as to limit the pendulum effect, as well as the risk and the height of a fall. For safety reasons and before each use,
make sure that in the event of a fall there is no obstacle obstructing the normal deployment of the fall arrest system fixed on this anchor point.
User safety relies on the effectiveness of the equipment and full understanding of the safety instructions contained in this leaflet.
Product marking should be checked periodically for legibility.
Before and during use, we recommend that you take every precaution necessary for an eventual safe rescue.
This equipment is for the use of people trained, skilled and in good health, or under the supervision of a trained and skilled person. Warning! Certain medical
conditions may affect user safety; if in doubt, consult your doctor.
Before each use, verify the condition of the device by checking the proper working of the adjustment plate, the safety pin and the adjusting screw, check that the
door anchor has no traces of cracks, deformation, or oxidation. Pay a particular attention to the two attachment D-Rings. Ensure the presence of the various pads
and anti-slide discs. In case of doubt, the product should not be used anymore without a full checking by a qualified person.
Do not remove, add or replace any component of the product.
Chemical products: put the system out of use if it comes into contact with chemical products, solvents or fuels which could affect its workings.

TECHNICAL DATA:

Material: Aluminium. Weight: 4.75 kg.
KRATOS SAFETY certifies that the door anchor has been tested in accordance with the standard EN 795 Type B.

SUITABILITY FOR USE:

A fall arrest harness (EN361) is the only body gripping device that may be used. It may be dangerous to create one's own fall arrest system where each safety
function can interfere with another safety function. Therefore, it is important to read the recommendations on using each component in the system before use.
VERIFICATION:
Service life of the product is 10 years (in accordance with the annual examination by a competent person authorized by Kratos Safety), but it may be increased or
reduced according to use and/or the results of the annual inspections. The equipment should be inspected if there is any doubt, or following a fall and at least
annually, by the manufacturer or a competent person authorised by the manufacturer to check its strength and hence the user's safety.
The product data sheet should be completed after each annual product verification.
SERVICING AND STORAGE; (Comply strictly with these instructions)
During transport, keep the product in its packaging, well away from any cutting surface; clean it with water, wipe it with a rag and hang it up in a well-ventilated
location, to let it dry naturally and away from a naked flame or heat source; follow the same procedure for components that have become damp during use. The
system must be stored in its packaging in a dry, well aired place protected from extremes of temperature.
