Dismantling instructions for servicing work and wear test
Before removing it from the vehicle check the spindle support for stiff-
ness and signs of external damage.
Fit and remove the support device on the vehicle as set out in the
operating and installation instructions supplied by the vehicle
manufacturer.
Remove the drive side:
1. Remove the crank set (1).
2. Take off circlip (2) from crank shaft (4).
3. Remove cap (3).
4. Pull out crank shaft (4).
5. Remove bolt and spring (5).
6. Remove circlip (6) from spindle (11).
7. Pull out the external tube (7) over the internal tube.
8. Remove the cog wheels (8a, 8b) , degrease them and check them
for signs of wear.
9. Remove bolts (9) from inner tube.
Activity
Fill the thread flanks item 1.
Grease the bearings.
Fill with grease, 150 - 200 g each.
10. Remove the completely assembled spindle (11) with the nut and
thrust bearing degrease the parts and check them for signs of wear.
11. The spindle (11) is OK if the nut can be turned over the complete
lifting distance by hand using the same force. There must be no
damage on the thread of either the spindle or the nut.
Remove the counter side as well, leave Pos.1.
Replace worn and damaged parts.
Only use genuine spare parts
After completing the repair work lubricate the support device as de-
scribed in the servicing instructions.
Assemble the spindle support by following the above instructions in
reverse.
After full assembly conduct a function test.
For spare parts please contact the service department. Indicate the
data on the type plate.
10. wASTE DISpOSAL
– Make sure to observe the safety instructions.
– Dispose of the equipment and the substances within it in an environ-
mentally responsible manner.
